Are you a skilled uPVC Service Engineer looking for a new employed role?  We are looking for a Service Engineer to join us in the Wakefield Depot the role will cover Bradford, Leeds, Barnsley& Hudderfield areas. To one of our windows and doors Service Engineer, you will be someone with previous experience of uPVC installation and maintenance having experience (or relevant qualifications) in fitting & installing uPVC, Wood or aluminium home improvement products. Our Service Engineer role is customer focused, good customer service and communication skills are vital.

Our Service Engineer role is essential to efficiently & effectively rectify product and installation related faults for our installed products covered by our warranty . We will provide all the tools and equipment that you will need to carry out this role including a van, PDA, mobile phone and tools.

Your duties will include:

  • Visiting customer homes, identifying the fault and taking the appropriate action to rectify in line with our warranty and our quality standards
  • To demonstrate & explain correct product care to customers
  • Be customer focused and provide a high level of service to every customer
  • Making sure optimum stock levels are maintained to ensure jobs can be effectively resolved and completed
  • Completing service calls as scheduled and in a timely manner using our, “Right First Time” approach, helping to reduce any cancelled appointments
  • Accurate and timely completion of paperwork and regular updating of the supplied PDA device
  • Obtaining payments as required

 You will need:

  • Experience of uPVC installation and maintenance (or relevant qualification)
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in a customer facing environment
  • Be able to work on your own initiative in a standalone field based role
  • A willingness to travel as required and show flexibility within the working week
  • Good time management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • A full driving license
