About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Material Controller Apprentice to join our growing Supply Chain team. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.

Working under the supervision of the Supply Chain Management team, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and components are available to support manufacturing, while maintaining accurate stock control and efficient inventory processes.

You’ll also work towards a nationally recognised Supply Chain Apprenticeship qualification, gaining hands-on experience and building valuable industry skills.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and booking in goods (Goods In)
Carrying out material quality control checks
Supporting stock level management and inventory control
Ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely in line with Health & Safety regulations
Reporting stock discrepancies, variances, or supply issues
Following internal quality and claims procedures
Maintaining clean, organised, and safe storage locations
Replenishing materials and parts to manufacturing production lines
Conducting regular stock counts and cycle counts
Supporting general warehouse and supply chain operations as required

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, organised, and proactive
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable:

Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, warehouse systems)
Interest in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environments
