Extrusion Technician

About the Role

Due to continued growth and investment in our production capabilities, we are looking for motivated and reliable Extrusion Technicians to join our expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking business at the forefront of the UK window manufacturing industry. As an Extrusion Technician, you’ll play a vital role in operating and maintaining extrusion lines, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot extrusion production lines to required specifications
  • Ensure products are introduced into production within agreed timeframes
  • Carry out quality inspections and sign-off to ensure products meet required standards
  • Support the control and consistency of manufacturing processes for finished and semi-finished goods
  • Work closely with production management to identify and implement process improvements
  • Proactively identify health, safety, and environmental risks, supporting actions to eliminate or reduce them

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous technical experience in machine setting, extrusion, or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to set tooling, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality standards
  • Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Experience in product inspection and quality checks
  • Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to plan ahead and work proactively
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Understanding of key health and safety practices
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced factory environment, including long shifts on your feet

Working Pattern (Rotating Shifts)

  • Days: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 7:00pm
  • Nights: Monday to Wednesday, 7:00pm – 7:00am and Thursday, 7:00pm – 11:00pm
