Blind Maker – Norwich Sun Blinds

Are you practical, hands-on and have a great eye for detail?

Norwich Sun Blinds is looking for a Blind Maker to join our manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in producing quality products and wants to be part of a supportive team.

You don’t need to have worked as a Blind Maker before. If you have experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, sewing or other hands-on work, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help manufacture our made-to-measure blinds, ensuring every product is finished to a high standard. Your role will include:

• Measuring and cutting fabric, wood and metal to specified sizes
• Assembling components to create custom-made blinds
• Sewing and stitching materials where required
• Using hand tools, machinery and equipment safely
• Checking finished products meet our quality and safety standards
• Carrying out repairs to blinds and shades
• Supporting different areas of production when required

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has good measuring and basic numeracy skills
• Is confident using hand tools
• Has a practical, hands-on approach
• Pays close attention to detail
• Works well as part of a team
• Is flexible and happy to learn different tasks
• Is comfortable working in a physically active role

Previous experience in blind making, manufacturing, production, sewing or stitching would be an advantage, particularly if you’ve used an industrial sewing machine, but it isn’t essential.
