An exciting opportunity to join a Commercial Building Contractor. This commercial division specialises in supplying replacement UPVC Windows, doors and wall insulation (EWI) into social housing and public sector clients. The National Programme Manager role reporting to the Programme Delivery Manger, manages the successful delivery and reporting of multi-year investment programmes. A new, challenging and varied role, managing a team supporting our operational delivery teams to provide excellent service to our clients.
The role includes:
Lead a team creating and maintaining client delivery plans from the point of award to contract completion.
Manage and support project coordinators and administrators to ensure that
Ensure contracts are set up, planned and endure all contractual commitments are understood by the field operations team
Contract reporting and KPI performance is available on time and are reliable, accurate and complete.
Management of all surveying resource and subsequent mobilisation
Day to day client relationships are proactive and communications are clear and timely.
Review weekly operational performance and planning reports to identify and resolve variances to the contract plan with the Programme Delivery Manger.
Create and manage the team’s development plan, ensuring the team has the right skills to be successful.
Experience required for this role:
Ideally experienced of commerical contracting within the construction industry with Prince 2 and Visio would be an advantage
Experience of leading a projects office (PMO) within a construction, facilitates or service-based environment.
Working with social housing market and the public sector but not essential
Great customer skills
Word and excel to intermediate level
Use of project management tools (MS Project) and processes.
Self-starter with keen attention to detail and well organised.
Strong communications and coaching skills, positive can-do attitude and a team player
