Are you looking for an apprenticeship where you can learn a trade ? We are searching for Window and Door Installer Apprentice’s to join our operations team in Birmingham at Anglian Home Improvements. We are looking for Window and Door Installer Apprentices to work as part of an experienced installation team, under the guidance and supervision of our dedicated Field Manager’s.

This opportunity will be supported by additional training via our in-house training centre helping you to achieve an  accredited Level 2 Fenestration Installer qualification. When starting with us you will be provided with a basic tool kit and all PPE needed to be safe on site. These will be yours upon the successful completion of the full apprenticeship.

As a Window and Doors Installer Apprentice you will  integrate into an installation team progressing from assisting to performing the following:

• Read and understand property surveys
• Window and door removal
• Window and door preparation
• Window and door installation
• Window and door trim application
• Window and door cleaning and sealing adjustment
• On site Health and Safety requirements
• On Site standards such as the application of ground and dust sheets etc

This role is very physical, and you will need to be able to lift, carry and work outdoors as part of the role. You will be responsible for professionally interacting with colleagues and customers, and consistently delivering an excellent standard of customer service. In this role it will be crucial for you to be able to complete  study towards the apprenticeship, which can be completed within your working week.

Responsibilities

• Learning & assisting the installer team to remove and fit windows & doors
• Delivering an excellent standard of customer service
• Learning Health & Safety on and off site
• Keeping up to date with your apprenticeship studies

 Qualifications

• Numeracy and Literacy skills, a minimum of Maths & English GCSE or equivalent
• Ability and willingness to study for the Level 2 Fenestration Installer  qualification
• Knowledge of Microsoft word
• Good written and verbal communication
• Interest in becoming a qualified Installer or working within Fenestration Industry
